The specifications so far for the RTX 3050 are slightly different than the rumored ones. Expectedly they’re not likely to be all that powerful but might be a good budget choice. So far the RTX 3050 is only coming in one variant with the 8GB GDDR6 version the only one presented.
The available specs for the 8GB card are
2560 CUDA cores
1.78 GHz boost clock
1.55 GHz base clock
8 GB GDDR6
128-bit memory interface
130W max power
550W required system power
1xPCIe 8-pin supplementary power connector
18 RT cores
73 Tensor cores
The 4GB variant rumored specs are
2304 CUDA cores
18 RT cores
72 Tensors
128-bit bus too
The specs do vary from the rumored ones and so far Nvidia hasn’t announced a 4GB variant but that may come down the line. So this card is a good entryway into the ray-tracing, which along with DLSS support can bring much more performance than expected from a more budget card. That is if you can actually buy one these days.
